A Blooming Big Thank you!

Last year Pavers teamed up with Fly Flot to create an exclusive design to help raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. The sandal, featuring the Charity’s trademark daffodil, was sold in Pavers shoe shops and on www.shoe-shop.com, donating 30% of the proceeds from each sandal to the campaign.

We are pleased to announce sales of over 5,000 pairs made a total donation value of a staggering £45,000!

Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home, and supports individuals who have suffered the loss of loved ones through cancer. We’re proud to have played a part in helping such an important cause.

So, a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who purchased a pair of the limited edition sandals, and helped towards this fantastic achievement.

Marie Fly Flots

History

Beginings
Founded in 1985, Italian footwear manufacturers Lones developed the Fly Flot brand with the aim to create a shoe that was comfortable and long lasting. This family owned company have continued to develop their Fly Flot brand and expand their range of sandals and slippers. They currently own 3 factories in Italy and employ over 500 workers.

Production
Each season, new styles and colours are developed at the Lones factory. Once the designing of a style is completed, a prototype is made and tested before the style can go into production.

The uppers and insoles are cut and stitched in the factory, whilst the process of ‘direct injection of polyurethane’ is used in the production of Fly Flot soles, a technique often used in the production of sports shoes. Fly Flot sandals and slippers are then rigorously tested for flexibility and durability; only the shoes that pass these tests make it to the shops.
